In skincare, less is more. Our formulations are made only with what is necessary to do the job. All 8 ingredients, each with a clear role, nothing extraneous, nothing for show.

Perfection is achieved not when there is nothing left to add, but when there is nothing left to take away. 

 

Nature knows best

Millions of years of evolution have made our bioactive ingredients. Not an engineer. Not a chemist.

Nature has made the compounds that our bodies crave to help fight, calm, nourish, and protect our skin. That’s why we honor and defer to nature’s most effective and potent ingredients – and mānuka oil, aloe vera, and carrot seed oil.

Thank you, Mother Nature.

Bioactive is nature at work. It’s important because it’s the way the world works. 

8 is more than a number, more than a design constraint. In New Zealand, you grow up knowing you can fix anything with some “Number 8 wire” and a bit of Kiwi ingenuity: it’s a mentality of resourcefulness, self-reliance, and problem-solving. 

We love that. So we called ourselves Bioactive 8.
